In the winter of 2018-19 I travelled round the entire coast of Great Britain looking for whatever it was that made British seaside towns in winter so distinctive. I found places and people whose raison d'etre seemed to be erased for half of every year. This project is an attempt to make some sense of that journey.
Being a writer, a photographer and a teacher, I have always been intrigued by the different methods we use to create meaning. The stories that make up this project can be accessed in a number of different ways - as audio-visual texts, or just audio, visual, (written) textual and as a book (which is available as either a hard text or an ebook). It is worth considering if, why and how the stories change for you when you access them in different forms.
